This number is known as an "angel number." In recent years, it became popular on social media, adopted by public figures seeking to reflect their spiritual awakening or the desire to manifest their goals through the energy of the universe.
Beyond the mysticism, in this case, the "444" seemed to take on a tragically premonitory meaning.
The unusual connection with Liam Payne
The number "444" reappeared in another tragic scenario. On October 16, 2024, British singer Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, died unexpectedly in Buenos Aires.
A week later, Kate Cassidy—his ex-partner—published an emotional letter that the singer had written to her before he passed away. In the letter, Payne wrote: "Kate and I will get married within a year, committed and together forever, 444."
Cassidy explained in her post that this number represented a kind of spiritual code for both of them: a promise of protection and eternity.
The coincidence between the number tattooed by Valeria Márquez and the one Liam Payne used in his final message made the theory of a deeper connection go viral. Many users on social media began to speculate about the symbolism behind this number, associating it with recent fateful events.
The murder of Valeria Márquez
The crime occurred at the beauty salon where Valeria worked, located on Avenida Servidor Público, in the Colonia Real del Carmen. It was approximately 6:30 PM when a hitman entered the place and shot her at point-blank range while the young woman was live.
The scene was recorded on video and caused a strong reaction on social media. The Jalisco State Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation under the femicide protocol.
Police officers arrived at the scene after receiving an emergency call. Paramedics confirmed that Márquez no longer had vital signs upon arrival. The collection of evidence was handled by the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences, which continues to analyze testimonies and evidence.
