A group of fans launched a digital campaign under the slogan "Mbappé Out" to ask for his departure from the club, an initiative that quickly gained repercussions and accumulated more than 2 million signatures in a

few hours.

The move emerged on social networks and proposes to channel discontent through an online petition. “Madridists, make your voice heard. If you think the change is necessary, don't be silent, sign this petition and show that what you think is the best thing for the future of the club”, is the message that accompanies the

call.

Fan discomfort has multiple reasons. In sports, the team was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, was surprised in the Copa del Rey by Albacete, a lower-ranking rival, and in LaLiga it has practically no chance of catching up with Barcelona. A scenario that leaves the Merengue team close to closing the season without trophies, with Mbappé as

the main figure of the squad.

Added to this context was a recent controversy: the forward's trip to Sardinia with his partner Ester Expósito over the weekend, in full recovery from a muscle injury suffered against Betis. Although the break was authorized by the coaching staff, the decision caused discomfort both in part of the fans and in the dressing room.

From the team environment they tried to lower the tone. The coach explained that injured players follow a schedule controlled by the medical staff and that, in their spare time, they can make use of their personal activities.
