In this context, the importance of Yacyretá was emphasized as a key infrastructure for electricity supply both in Argentina and in the region, consolidating itself as a strategic
asset for energy security.
The Aña Cuá project
One of the central axes of the day was the presentation of the progress of the Aña Cuá project, an expansion project that will increase the installed capacity of the complex by taking advantage of the branch of the Paraná River that bears that name. As detailed above, this expansion will not involve changes in the level of the reservoir, reinforcing its efficient and sustainable development profile
.
The Aña Cuá project represents a leap in terms of energy efficiency, with a direct impact on generation capacity and the stability of the electrical system. Its implementation aims to strengthen the available energy supply and accompany the growth of demand in both countries
