The national deputy of La Libertad Avanza, Federico Pelli, spoke again after the brutal aggression he suffered in the Tucuman town of La Madrid while participating in a solidarity tour due to the floods. After undergoing surgery for a fractured septum, the legislator reconstructed the episode, denounced the inaction of the provincial police and targeted sectors linked
to local power.According to him, the initiative had emerged after verifying the seriousness of the situation that several areas of Tucumán affected by the storm were going through. After that, his team organized a collection and traveled to La Madrid to deliver mattresses, clothes and other supplies to the victims. It was in that context, in the midst of an assistance action, that the violent attack took place.

Pelli said that the libertarian group was progressing normally and received a good response from neighbors until a group led by Marcelo “Pichón” Segura appeared, identified by different means as the aggressor. According to the deputy, Segura tried to prevent the passage of the entourage and, after an argument, headbutted him in the face, causing a serious injury. The legislator himself assured that, after the impact, he lost track of what was happening around
him.The episode not only left the deputy hospitalized and then surgically operated on, but it also re-exposed the tightening methods that dominated Tucuman politics for years.
