Israel is investigating why its systems did not intercept Iranian missiles.

A new offensive by the Iranian regime once again had a full impact on the civilian population in Israel. Ballistic missiles launched during the night managed to break through anti-aircraft defenses and hit directly the cities of Arad and Dimona, in the south of the country, leaving dozens injured, including children, and causing scenes of destruction
in residential areas.
The Israeli emergency services confirmed that the number of victims far exceeds one hundred injured between the two cities, with several serious cases and people trapped in the rubble after the impact on buildings. The magnitude of the attack forced the deployment of multiple rescue teams that continued to work through the night to search for survivors.
In Dimona, one of the missiles hit an urban area close to sensitive facilities, leaving at least twenty people injured, mostly minor, although anxiety and significant material damage were also recorded. In Arad, the impact was direct on inhabited structures

The episode raised an even greater alarm inside Israel because of a critical fact: air defense systems were activated, but they failed to intercept the missiles before they hit the ground.
