The governor of Catamarca, Raúl Jalil, participated in the AmCham Summit 2026 and defended the role of mining as one of the pillars of provincial economic development.
During his presentation, the president assured that the province is advancing a model that combines natural resources with productive diversification.
Mining as the axis of growth
,Jalil highlighted that Catamarca is consolidating a strategy based on the integration of mining with other
sectors.As he explained, the objective is to generate employment and expand opportunities throughout the territory.
“The province is growing with balance, integrating mining with other activities,” he said.
Productive diversification and new opportunities
The governor emphasized that development is not limited to the
mining sector.He also mentioned advances in tourism, olive production and renewable energy.
These areas seek to complement the productive base and give greater stability to growth.
Importance of clear rules
Jalil stressed the need to provide predictability to
attract investment.In this regard, he highlighted articulation with the private sector as a key factor.
