President Javier Milei will begin this Thursday, March 19 at 11:30 p.m., a new international trip to Budapest, Hungary, on an agenda focused on high-level political meetings, participation in a renowned forum and academic activity of institutional recognition. The arrival of the Argentine president in the Hungarian capital is scheduled for Friday, March 20 at 20:00, local time, equivalent to 16:00 in
Argentina.
The central activity of the trip will take place on Saturday, March 21. At 11:00 in Hungary, Milei is scheduled to meet Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok at the Sándor Palace, one of the most important institutional stops during the official visit. Later, at 12:10, he will meet Prime Minister Viktor Orbán at the Karmelita Monastery of Buda, in what will be a new political photo between two leaders who have been
showing harmony at the international level. Milei has a good relationship with Minister Orbán.
That same Saturday, at 16:30, the Argentine head of state will participate in the closing ceremony of the Conservative Political Action Conference, the CPAC Hungary, where he will speak to leaders and leaders of the international conservative space. The 2026 edition of the meeting will once again be held in Budapest and will bring together several important figures from the political world aligned with that trend.
The presidential agenda will continue at 19:00, when Milei receives the title of “Civis Universitatis Honoris Causa” from Ludovika University, in a ceremony led by its rector, Gergely Deli. There, too, the president is expected to say a few words. In addition to the political dimension of the trip, the visit to Budapest will include a strong sign of institutional and academic support for the figure of the Argentine President.
