President Javier Milei was received in Budapest by the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, as part of the first official visit of an Argentine president to the European country. The meeting marks a new milestone in the Government's foreign policy, which is making progress in building strategic alliances with leaders who share an agenda based on the defense of Western values

The meeting was held at the Carmelite Monastery of Buda, where both leaders ratified the political harmony they have been building on theinternational stage. The Argentine Government emphasized that both Argentina and Hungary share a common vision of the global order, with an emphasis on economic freedom, national sovereignty and the rejection of progressive agendas

In parallel, Milei was also received by the Hungarian president, Tamás Sulyok, at the Sándor Palace, at an institutional meeting that consolidated the official nature of the visit. Previously, during his speech to leaders in the conservative space, the Hungarian Prime Minister praised the Argentine head of state: “He has demonstrated that common sense is the key to success and not progressive madness.” In addition, he argued that Argentina has become a bastion of right-wing forces

One of the central axes of the visit is Milei's participation in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), one of the main international forums of the right. The president will be in charge of closing the event, where leaders, intellectuals and political leaders aligned with the Western agenda gather

After his presentation at the CPAC, Milei will receive the title “Civis Universitatis Honoris Causa” awarded by Ludovika University, in recognition of his leadership and his impact on the international political debate.
