In the run-up to his trip to Argentina for his exhibition, Franco Colapinto added a new day of activity in Formula 1. The Argentine pilot toured Silverstone during a “filming day” of Alpine, an instance authorized by the Federation Automobile International (FIA), which allows teams to ride for promotional purposes and general evaluation of the car
.The day took place under adverse weather conditions, with overcast skies and intermittent rain, on an emblematic circuit that hosted the first Grand Prix in the history of Formula 1 in 1950. There, the Argentinian used special demonstration tires provided by Pirelli and an engine with electronic control supervised by the FIA, as established by the standards for this type of test. In total, Colapinto covered the maximum allowed by regulation: 200 kilometers, equivalent to about 34 laps
.
was Alpine's second day of filming in the season, after the one that took place on January 21 also at Silverstone, when Pierre Gasly had been behind the wheel at the car's premiere. Although this is not an official development test, this type of test allows teams to verify the general operation of the car and generate audiovisual content for their social networks and official channels.
After this activity, Colapinto will stay in England for a few more days before embarking on his trip to Buenos Aires, where next Sunday, April 26, he will be one of the great attractions at a street event in Palermo. There, he will drive a historic Lotus E20 from 2012 and a massive crowd is expected to reach half a million spectators

Inthe face of the cancellations of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the Argentine driver would only return to the ring in May, for the Miami Grand Prix, which will take place between Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd
