The prosecutor Diego Velasco asked the Federal Oral Court No. 5 to set a date for the start of the trial in the Hotesur-Los Sauces case, a file in which the corrupt and convicted Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and herson Máximo Kirchner, among other defendants, are charged
Last year, the Court had reported that it was not possible to establish a start date due to the delay in accounting expertise linked to Los Sauces and changes in the integration of the body.

“I once again request that the Court set a date for the oral and public debate in the present proceedings, without prejudice to the fact that the last expert evidence pending completion may be incorporated before the start of the hearing or even during its celebration, all of which, I insist, I insist, formally required,” he said in his opinion.
The prosecution already has expertise on Hotesur, which, as indicated, reinforces the hypothesis that the hotel company operated to receive funds from companies linked to Báez, whose revenues came from road contracts.
The road conviction The file is
directly related to the conviction handed down in the road case against Cristina Kirchner and Lázaro Báez, where it was determined that public funds earmarked for road works were diverted
through irregular contracts.

In addition, other companies in Grupo Austral would have generated additional revenues of 11 million pesos, in many cases for rooms that were not occupied
.
They are also charged with the crime of gifts for commercial operations between Cristina Kirchner, in her role as a public official, and State contractors.
In September 2023, the Federal Criminal Cassation Chamber ordered the conduct of the oral trial and revoked the dismissals issued in November 2021 by TOF 5 with respect to some thirty defendants, including Cristina Kirchner, Máximo Kirchner, Lázaro Báez, Cristóbal López and Fabián De Sousa. Instead, it confirmed the dismissal of Florencia
Kirchner.
Finally, in December 2024, the Supreme Court ruled that the case of money laundering and illegal association be brought to oral proceedings, thus enabling definitive progress towards the process.
