Argentine television experienced an evening full of emotion with Beto Casella's farewell to Bendita, the show he hosted for two decades and that became a classic of nighttime prime time. After 30 years of ties with El Nueve, the journalist decided to close a key stage of his career, in a context marked by personal assessments, institutional wear and new professional challenges.
The final show was steeped in nostalgia. The production team prepared a retrospective with historic footage that revisited the most memorable moments of the run, from its beginnings to its consolidation as a space where humor, irony and current affairs coexisted on a daily basis. The atmosphere in the studio was one of recognition and affection, both from the team and from the host himself.
Although the departure was not free of prior tensions with the channel's top management, Casella chose an ending without confrontations. During his farewell, he was clear when he explained the reasons for his decision: “I voluntarily made the decision to take some distance from the channel, with disagreements and differences with the authorities, but now there are no complaints to make. Before the relationship gets ruined, it's also good to leave when things are going well”.
