The relationship between Wanda Nara and Martín Migueles came to an end after barely six months and in the middle of a situation that goes beyond the sentimental.
The breakup, which became known on Wednesday afternoon through Yanina Latorre, was quickly overshadowed by a much more delicate piece of information: the businessman could face a legal situation that could seriously complicate him in the coming weeks.
According to what was reported on the show SQP (América TV), the separation would have occurred about a week ago and would be linked to rumors of infidelity that once again connected Migueles with Claudia Ciardone, his ex-partner.
Martín Migueles en la cuerda floja con la Justicia
However, that was merely the visible trigger for a decision that, behind closed doors, was already conditioned by far more serious factors.
According to what was revealed on air, Carlos Martín Migueles is mentioned in at least four legal cases that are in the investigation stage.
In those files he appears linked as a partner and friend of Elías Piccirillo and Francisco Hauque, two names that are drawing the justice system's attention.
"They are all investigating more or less the same thing. Piccirillo is mentioned in four cases and Migueles appears as a partner and friend", they detailed on the show.
Before the investigators, Migueles would have tried to distance himself from direct responsibilities and explained his role as a mediator between both parties. "What he told the justice system is: 'I am a friend of Piccirillo and of Hauque, both of them owe me money and since they are at odds, I intervened. If either of them killed the other, I would not get paid'", they recounted on the show, making clear the level of conflict surrounding the case.
In that context, Wanda Nara's exit from the relationship would not have been improvised. According to reports, her professional circle recommended that she distance herself immediately.
The network that airs MasterChef would have played a key role in the decision: a breakup in the middle of the television season could turn into a bigger scandal, especially with Migueles returning alone from Punta del Este and with legal rumors on the rise.
"If she had separated last week, it would have been a scandal. She had to start filming and they warned her that in February legal complications could arise. The advice was clear: 'Get out now'", they stated on SQP.
