It's not the first time that "La T" has been crowned champion, however this is their first national title. Previously, they won international competitions (1999 Conmebol Cup, the only official one), regional (27 Cordoba league tournaments), lower divisions (Second Division in 1997-98 and 2016 and also in the Third[Federal in their case]in 2012-13 and 2015) and other minor tournaments (for example, the 1977 Brotherhood Cup).

With this title, Talleres became the 11th team from the interior to win a national cup. The ranking includes Rosario Central first with 6 titles, Newell's and Rosario Athletic second with 3, and Central Córdoba (R), San Martín (T), Atlético Tucumán, Tiro Federal (R), Colón, Patronato, and Central Córdoba (SdE) with 1. Meanwhile, considering only First Division team titles, "La T" is the 42nd different team to become champion.
