After years of silence, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Remake returns with force thanks to a leak. A concept image shows Kashyyyk, the Wookiees' home planet, providing the first visual clue of the highly anticipated video game.
The game was announced in 2021 and aims to modernize the beloved 2003 RPG from BioWare. Development is now in the hands of Saber Interactive, after an initial period led by Aspyr Media, generating uncertainty about its direction.

Concept art reveals details of the world
The website MP1st shared a piece of concept art showcasing the vegetation and landscapes of Kashyyyk. Although it comes from Aspyr's development stage, it offers a unique glimpse into the visual style and atmosphere that the remake could have.
The planet had already appeared in both Revenge of the Sith and the original 2003 version, reinforcing its connection to the saga.

A project surrounded by secrecy
Since its announcement, the remake has remained almost secret. Only an official trailer and a few scarce details about real-time combat and updates for a modern audience have been presented.
The change from Aspyr to Saber Interactive raised doubts among fans. However, Saber Interactive confirmed in March 2024 that the project is still in development, although there is no estimated release date.

Expectations and the future of the remake
This new concept art rekindles the expectations of Star Wars fans and classic RPG enthusiasts. The community hopes that the remake will preserve the essence of the original game, combining exploration, deep storytelling, and strategic combat.
Meanwhile, each leak and official announcement becomes an indicator that the project is still moving forward and that, sooner or later, fans will be able to explore the galaxy once again.
