The singer Alcides, a leading figure in the Argentine tropical music scene, is going through a difficult time. For a week, he has been hospitalized in intensive care at Fundación Favaloro.

Why is Alcides hospitalized?

The artist, whose real name is Miguel Berardo, reportedly suffered an intestinal hemorrhage last Sunday, July 6. That complication led to a significant loss of blood.

During the week, according to sources close to him, he underwent several transfusions to compensate for that loss. From that point on, he remained under observation in intensive care.

How the problem was discovered

According to the account of Lío Pecoraro and Fernando Piaggio on El Run Run del Espectáculo, Alcides noticed blood when he went to the bathroom. That caused immediate concern.
