The writer and philosopher Alejandro Rozitchner left no stone unturned when referring to Argentine journalism during his participation in the program Cuentas Claras of Cronista Stream.

Without mincing words, Rozitchner described journalists as “sons of bitches” and “a bunch of operators” who have little respect for facts and act in the service of particular interests.

“This is not my anger, it is a description of the facts,” he asserted emphatically.

The intellectual directly targeted the coverage of the current government, which he described as “a disgrace.” According to Rozitchner, the media would be “showing their true colors like crazy” and protecting “all kinds of scams” against the government of Javier Milei.

Among the main reasons he mentioned are:

  • The loss of official advertising, which would severely affect the media if the space for freedom advances in the City and Province of Buenos Aires.

  • The protection of other businesses and privileges of companies that feed the media with advertising and other benefits.

  • Suspicions of irregular payments that, although difficult to prove, are part of the ecosystem he criticizes.

When the hosts reminded him that they are also journalists, Rozitchner responded bluntly: “Deal with it”, and clarified that he was talking about the journalism he sees daily in the media and political programs.
