
Almost 30,000 residents participated in the Neighborhood Centers elections in Córdoba
Residents from different neighborhoods in Córdoba elected authorities in 344 neighborhood centers over four days
A total of 29,466 citizens cast their votes in the elections for authorities of the Neighborhood Centers in the city of Córdoba. The electoral process, which took place in several stages, concluded with the election of new authorities in 344 neighborhood centers.
The elections were held on different dates: April 27, May 11 and 18, and June 1. In 58 neighborhood centers, elections were held with more than one list, while in 286, a single list was presented that met the established requirements.
In 52 neighborhood centers, elections were not held due to incomplete procedures or lack of formation of electoral boards. Additionally, in four cases, the electoral process is under review for alleged irregularities.

An election that began last year
The process of renewing authorities in the neighborhood centers began in 2023 with the review of each entity's situation. This process will conclude with the appointment and inauguration of the new authorities.
The elections were held in educational institutions, using ballot boxes and single ballots. Three hundred ballot boxes and the corresponding ballots were printed to carry out the electoral process.
The electoral process was conducted within the framework of ordinance 13,503. This ordinance established new regulations for neighborhood center elections. The regulation includes the unification of electoral schedules and the extension of terms to three years.
Neighborhood center elections are a mechanism of citizen participation that allows residents to choose their neighborhood representatives. This time, nearly 30,000 people participated in the electoral process in the city of Córdoba.
