Alpine confirms Franco Colapinto for Silverstone after the five test races
The Argentine will remain a starter and will look to score his first points of the season in the upcoming British GP
Franco Colapinto received confirmation that he will continue as a starter for Alpine at the Silverstone Grand Prix after competing in his first five test races. The Argentine will attempt to improve the level he showed in Austria and, perhaps, score his first points for the French team.
Although a decision was expected after the five races in which he replaced Jack Doohan since Imola, there were doubts about whether the Argentine would remain with the team. However, Alpine dispelled any speculation with a message on social media in the early hours of Monday.
"From Enstone to Silverstone: we're looking forward to this race, just a few steps from our base," the team posted, accompanying the message with images of Pierre Gasly, Franco Colapinto, a young Flavio Briatore celebrating his successes with Renault, and Michael Schumacher at the beginning of his career.

This way, the team confirmed the Pilar native's presence at the British circuit, putting to rest the doubts that surrounded his immediate future.
Meanwhile, Alpine shared photos of its headquarters to reinforce the message of commitment: "This is Enstone. Our home. The home of a team that never gives up and always believes. This weekend's British Grand Prix means more. Pride. Purpose. Another reason to keep moving forward," they emphasized.

When Colapinto will race again
F1 will resume action next week, from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6, at the Silverstone Grand Prix in Great Britain. At that legendary circuit, last year the Argentine driver had his first experience in a GP during a challenging FP1 in the rain with Williams.
