Wednesday, July 2 began with frost, record subzero temperatures, and a freezing forecast

This Wednesday, July 2 began with an  extreme cold throughout the AMBA. The entry of polar air was so intense that it brought temperatures below 0°C (32°F) in Buenos Aires City as well.

According to Matías Bertolotti, "it was brutal compared to last year."

The day began with -0.8°C (30.6°F) in the city, but areas like El Palomar reached values close to -8°C (17.6°F). Frost was present on grass, sidewalks, and parked cars.

With clear skies and no wind, the high will be around 11 to 12°C (51.8 to 53.6°F). Despite the sun, the wind chill will remain low throughout the day.

The cold continues, but eases a bit. Thursday will start with a low of 4°C (39.2°F) and a high climbing to 14°C (57.2°F), thanks to the wind shifting to the north.
