Buenos Aires is experiencing another freezing day, with temperatures remaining at historically low levels. According to Matías Bertolotti, the cold affecting the AMBA this Monday, June 30 is part of an unusual weather phenomenon.
The cloudiness and lack of sunlight are keeping the thermometer below 8°C (46°F) and creating conditions similar to those that caused snowfall in several areas of the metropolitan region.

This Monday, June 30, the sky remains overcast in the metropolitan area. During the early morning, there were isolated drizzles that surprised the meteorological team, given the similarity to the conditions of the recent snowfall.
Temperatures started around 3°C (37°F). The estimated high will barely reach 7 or 8 degrees (45°F or 46°F), placing it among the lowest in a long time. Bertolotti emphasized that not even the sun will help: "I'm saying 9 and I'm being very generous," he said ironically when talking about the extreme cold.

The cold will not only continue, but could reach its most intense point. A subzero low is expected even in CABA, with frost on cars, sidewalks, and roofs. Areas of the metropolitan region such as El Palomar could record values close to -8°C (18°F).
The day will be sunny and mostly clear, but that will not mean any relief. The high will be around 10°C (50°F), on a day that Bertolotti described as "absolute freezing cold."
