Andrea del Boca refused to testify in the trial over the funding of 'Mamá Corazón'
The actress chose to remain silent before the court regarding the state funding of her 2014 novel
The actress and producer Andrea del Boca chose not to give an investigative statement in the judicial case investigating the state financing of the soap opera "Mamá Corazón", a project that was filmed between 2014 and 2015 and never aired.
During the hearing at the Federal Oral Court 7 in Buenos Aires, Del Boca expressed her decision not to speak before the court at this stage of the process. In her statement, the actress said: "I refer to what was expressed in the investigative statement and the written defense I made during the instruction, and I request that this statement be incorporated and read in full."
Her stance meant that she did not answer questions at this stage of the trial. However, she left open the possibility of testifying at a later stage, as the process progresses, which began on March 6. As a result of her refusal, the testimony she had previously submitted during the instruction phase of the case was read.

The case involves Del Boca and former minister Julio De Vido
The trial investigates an alleged fraud in the allocation of public funds to the National University of San Martín, which were then directed to the audiovisual production of "Mamá Corazón." Among the accused is also the former Kirchnerist Minister of Planning, Julio De Vido, identified as the "author" of the alleged fraud, while Del Boca is considered a "necessary participant" in the act.
The court, composed of judges Enrique Méndez Signori, Fernando Canero, and Germán Castelli, conducts the debate via videoconference. In the investigation, the agreements signed between 2011 and 2015 are analyzed, which allegedly granted funds "discretionarily" to the actress's production company, a+A Group SRL, for an approximate amount of 36 million pesos.
