This is about Colombian Diego Valoyes, who, after his spell in Mexican soccer, more precisely at Juárez club, is Matador's new reinforcement.
Weeks ago, Fassi pointed out that the coming years will be crucial to build a big and sustainable club.
Fassi sigue trabajando para que Talleres siga creciendo.
Valoyes's career at Talleres
The 29-year-old forward arrived in Córdoba in July 2018 from La Equidad, in Colombia.
His debut with the blue-and-white jersey was on July 31 in the round of 64 of the Copa Argentina against Midland at the Estadio Brigadier General Estanislao López in Santa Fe.
Throughout his entire spell at Talleres, Valoyes played 141 matches, showing steady growth and establishing himself as one of the pillars of the attacking sector.
With the Colombian player on the field, Matador won 61 matches, drew 44, and lost 36.
Valoyes's prominence at Talleres
The winger was a key figure together with Talleres in domestic competitions, as well as in Copa Sudamericana and Copa Libertadores.
The blue-and-white forward scored 26 goals during his time with "T": 5 from penalties, 7 with headers, and 14 from open play.
While he was a Talleres player, Diego was drafted to the Colombia national team; in the coffee-growers' side he was a key figure in 8 international FIFA matchdays.
In August 2023 he was transferred to Juárez Fútbol Club in Mexico's Primera División.
Now, with his return under Fassi's leadership, Valoyes excites everyone in the Talleres world.
Fassi and Talleres's sustainability
"To think that over the next eight years Talleres has to generate a level of sustainability that is the major objective that we have with the board of directors. With those more than 500 collaborators that we have, with the group of assembly members, representatives. Together we will take on a challenge, the coming years will be crucial to create a sustainable Talleres", stated the president.
Fassi drew a parallel with the long-term planning processes of the world's major institutions.
"Florentino Pérez is analyzing how to shield Real Madrid's structure for the next 50 years, because that is what our responsibility is about", he stated, highlighting the strategic vision that Talleres seeks to maintain for future generations.
