ANMAT announced the total ban on cleaning products from the Seco Cleaner brand, a company that was marketed throughout the country without sanitary authorization. The measure was made official in the Boletín Oficial through Provision 8518/2025.
The decision covers all presentations of the brand, which offered cleaners, degreasers, and surface finishing products without being registered.
ANMAT no ha autorizado a HLB a comprar certificados por lo que la interpretación del artículo periodístico es errónea, señalaron.
Why did ANMAT ban Seco Cleaner
The investigation began after several complaints about the legitimacy of Seco Cleaner items, which were promoted and sold through social networks. Based on that inquiry, the Servicio de Domisanitarios verified that none of the products were registered with ANMAT.
No data was identified for an authorized facility to manufacture them, which constitutes a direct violation of current sanitary safety regulations.
Irregularities detected in official documentation
According to the published documentation, the agency warned that the manufacturing conditions and origin of the cleaners are completely unknown. That lack of traceability creates a risk for consumers, since there is no guarantee regarding the composition or quality of the contents.

In this scenario, ANMAT decided to move forward with the ban on the use, marketing, advertising, and distribution of all products from the brand.
What the measure means for consumers and businesses
As of the provision, all batches and presentations of Seco Cleaner are banned until the company regularizes its situation. No business, distributor, or independent seller can continue offering these items under any modality.
