Which brands were banned by ANMAT
The National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology ordered the withdrawal of the products Caffé del Doge, Café Sol, Caffé del Ponte Rialto, and Expresso Café Crema. The order was published under number 8385/2025.
The investigation began following a complaint received by INAL regarding "Puro café espresso estilo italiano tostado natural en grano, Doge Rosso Blend." Upon inspecting the packaging, inspectors detected that the declared RNPA and RNE numbers did not exist or were not valid.
How the involved plants operated
During inspections, ANMAT verified that the inspected establishments did not have sanitary authorization and were packaging coffee for different brands without complying with current regulations.
