A new violent attack with a knife occurred this Friday night at the central train station in Hamburg, Germany, leaving at least 12 people injured, according to Reuters citing the German newspaper Bild.
According to reports, the local police managed to arrest the suspect shortly after the incident, although not much is known about the striker and the reason for the attack at the moment.
According to preliminary reports, three of the victims are in critical condition, while another three have serious injuries. The remaining six people reportedly suffered minor injuries during the attack, which took place on the platform between tracks 13 and 14 of the station.
According to Bild, some of the victims were treated by emergency services directly in the carriages. The motives behind the attack are currently unknown, and the police have launched an investigation to clarify what happened.

"According to initial information, a person injured several people with a knife at the central train station," reported the Hamburg police through their official account on X (formerly Twitter).
The station located in the center of Hamburg, the second most populous city in Germany, functions as a key hub of the railway system, connecting local, regional, and long-distance services. After the attack, part of the building was cordoned off by the police, according to the AP agency.
In recent months, Germany has experienced an increase in episodes of violence, including several knife attacks, which raises concern in public opinion, which mostly blames the open borders policy as responsible for this serious situation, as it allowed the entry of millions of illegal Muslim immigrants, many of them criminals, murderers, and rapists.
Last Sunday, for example, an attack in a bar in the city of Bielefeld left four people injured after a stabbing. The case was elevated to federal prosecutors after the suspect told the arresting officers that he acted motivated by jihadist beliefs.
