Embark Studios has announced that Arc Raiders will not hold any more beta phases or public demos before its official launch, scheduled for October 30, 2025. The Swedish developer explained that the decision is due to the need to focus all resources on perfecting the game experience, incorporating the adjustments resulting from the latest Tech Test.
The decision comes in a favorable context: its main competitor, Bungie's Marathon, is facing delays and controversies, which clears the way for Arc Raiders' debut.
No presence at major events
The studio confirmed it will not participate in Gamescom 2025, the largest European video game event. The strategy involves giving up opportunities for promotion and direct contact with the community, something common for multiplayer titles before their launch.

"We are fully focused on polishing and expanding the experience, applying everything we've learned in Tech Test 2 before the release," Embark Studios stated in an official announcement.
A shooter with marked evolution
Since its announcement, Arc Raiders has shifted from being a PvE game against AI-controlled enemies to becoming a PvPvE extraction shooter, where players and machines compete for resources in a post-apocalyptic setting.
