Argentina is one of the freest countries in the world, according to the Freedom House report.

Under Milei's government, the country is above other prominent democracies such as the United States and South Korea

Thanks to the government of Javier Milei, Argentina is among the freest countries in the world, according to the recent report "Freedom in the World 2025" published by the international organization Freedom House.

With a score of 85 out of 100, the country ranked 52nd globally and was classified as "free," reaffirming its leadership in the region and consolidating the line of reforms promoted by the government of Milei.

The Freedom House ranking evaluates the state of political and civil liberties in 210 countries and territories, dividing them into three categories: free, partly free, and not free. Argentina is positioned as the third freest country in South America, only behind Uruguay (96 points) and Chile (94), and above other prominent democracies such as the United States (84) and South Korea (81).

The report comes in a context where only 21 countries improved their score compared to the previous year, while 52 experienced setbacks, highlighting Argentina's stability within the international landscape.

Among the aspects valued by Freedom House, the report mentions as positive the significant decrease in violence in critical areas such as Rosario, where homicides were reduced by 65% during 2024 after federal intervention, led by Minister Patricia Bullrich. In economic matters, the stabilization of macroeconomic indicators was highlighted, attributed to fiscal discipline and deficit reduction.

The Freedom House report stands in sharp contrast to the lies of Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the far-left international organization that supports allied governments, which reflected an alleged decline of Argentina in the press freedom index, something completely illogical.

The left-wing organization criticized the elimination of official advertising and President Milei's responses to media outlets that lie. Nevertheless, ending state funding for media seeks to guarantee journalistic independence and foster a more plural ecosystem, without public funds serving as a mechanism of censorship.

With this result, Argentina is consolidated as a country that keeps its democratic institutions and its commitment to individual freedoms, in a regional and international context marked by setbacks. The report represents a symbolic and institutional endorsement of Javier Milei's political project, which aims for a deep transformation of the state model and greater prominence of the individual in the face of state bureaucracy.
