How is each team doing and when did they last meet?
Argentinos Juniors comes to this match with a great level of soccer. After finishing first in Zone A with just one defeat, the team from La Paternal faced Instituto in the round of 16 of the play-offs. In that match against the Cordobeses, Nicolás Diez's team comfortably won 3-1, with goals from Molina, Herrera, and Sosa.
Meanwhile, San Lorenzo, amidst economic and institutional chaos, barely made it through the round of 16 against Tigre. Miguel Ángel Russo's team defeated Victoria's team 2-1, with a goal at the end of regulation time by Alexis Cuello. It should be noted that El Cuervo will have the significant absence of Elián Irala, as he was sent off after a mistake in midfield.
