Blizzard confirmed one of its most ambitious crossovers: the Diablo saga joins forces with the manga Berserk. The event will be available from May 1 in Diablo Immortal and May 6 in Diablo IV.
The alliance between both universes proposes an immersive experience inspired by the world of Guts, the Apostles, and the characteristic dark tone of Berserk.
The event will offer themed missions, exclusive items, and an aesthetic that combines the best of both franchises. All with a very dark narrative, true to the style of both sagas.
Diablo IV: collect Behelits and unlock unique items
In Diablo IV, the key will be to collect Behelits, artifacts that allow access to cosmetic items linked to Berserk.
Among the most sought-after items are the Skull Knight's shield and Griffith's helmet, which can be obtained within the Berserk Reliquary, integrated into the new battle pass.
However, the Berserker armor of Guts will not be included among the mission rewards. It can only be purchased from the in-game store.
The crossover also comes to Diablo Immortal
In Diablo Immortal there will be additional content, such as the confrontation with Nosferatu Zodd and the special event Eclipse, with chaotic and constant challenges.
This mode will add tension, intense battles, and settings directly inspired by key moments of the original anime.
What new rewards does the event bring?
One of the major additions is the Crimson Behelit legendary gem, which enhances inflicted damage and reduces received damage in critical battles.
Additionally, there will be customized appearances inspired by the outfits of Guts and Griffith. There will also be login rewards, such as the iconic Dragonslayer.
The tribute to Kentaro Miura and the spirit of Berserk
The event seeks to pay tribute to Kentaro Miura, creator of Berserk, integrating his work into the Diablo universe with respect and aesthetic fidelity.
Both franchises share a dark style, hostile worlds, and complex characters. This crossover relies on that affinity to attract fans of both the manga and the game.
What criticisms arose after the announcement?
Although the collaboration was well received, some players expressed their dissatisfaction with how the most desired rewards are distributed.
Elements like Guts's armor will only be available for purchase in the store. That frustrated those who hoped to unlock it by playing.
