The National Government is moving forward with the final details to carry out a combined exercise between the Special Operations Commands of Argentina and the United States. The training was named "Atlantic Dagger" (Daga Atlántica), and it is scheduled for April 6.
The activity falls within a Special Operations Forces Training (SOF), a training format focused on elite forces and complex operations.
According to the information released, the United States plans to deploy Green Berets from the Army, elements of the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), and units from the Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC). In military circles, this is interpreted as a signal of a high level of operational trust due to the quantity and quality of the assets deployed.

What is trained in a SOF exercise and what the agreement was
SOF exercises aim to improve interoperability and standardize techniques, tactics, and procedures. They also seek to strengthen critical areas such as command and control, communications, and joint coordination.
Due to their nature, they tend to involve highly demanding scenarios linked to high-risk missions: counterterrorism, hostage rescue, and unconventional operations, among others.
Regarding the Argentine component, for the moment it remains undisclosed which units will participate. However, there is mention of the possibility that different Commando Companies of the Argentine Army will be present, such as the 601, 602, and 603; the 601 Special Forces Company and the Special Operations Forces Support Company.
Meanwhile, the Argentine Air Force has the Special Operations Group (GOE) as its specialized area. Likewise, the Argentine Navy has the Tactical Divers Group and the Amphibious Commandos Group.
