Baby Etchecopar lashed out at Luquitas Rodríguez and the 'Párense de Manos' team
The host harshly criticized the streamer and his team for mentioning him as a possible participant in the boxing event
The host of Basta Baby reacted harshly upon learning that his name had been mentioned as a possible participant in the amateur boxing event promoted by streamers. "They still haven't understood who I am", he declared live on his radio show.
An unexpected clash between generations, communication styles, and platforms has reignited controversy in the media world.
This time, the protagonist was Baby Etchecopar, who openly targeted Luquitas Rodríguez and his Párense de Manos team, after it was reported that his name was among the possible invitees for the 2025 edition of the event that combines amateur boxing matches with celebrities, media personalities, and streamers.

Visibly upset, the Basta Baby host vented his anger on Radio Rivadavia: "It's a lack of respect that these damn kids say I'm going to do wrestling. Who do they think I am? They still haven't understood who I am, who the gossipers are, and who Luquitas Rodríguez is," he exclaimed, fired up.
Far from softening his stance, Baby continued: "It's the same as if I said tomorrow 'hey, let's have a fight between Chiche Gelblung and Ibar Carola.' No, guys, don't get it wrong. It's not about promoting violence, it's a lack of respect. They shouldn't mention my name."
Later on, he drew a dividing line between traditional broadcasters and the new figures of the digital world: "We play in the big leagues. They can keep playing in the minor leagues. When they make it to the big leagues, we'll talk. But they're not in the big leagues. They're YouTubers. To sit at this table, they need to put in 40 years."
The comment that caused the most stir was the conclusion of his intervention, where he spoke without restraint: "So a dirty little punk comes and says... 'Hey, let's have a match against Baby.' What is that? Who are you, you jerk?"
