
Bahía Blanca: how to apply for the housing reconstruction subsidy
The amount varies between 2 and 3 million pesos depending on the level of water accumulated in each area
The Government launched a subsidy for those affected by the floods on March 7 in Bahía Blanca.
The benefit is aimed at those who suffered damage to their homes due to the storm in Bahía Blanca. Both homeowners and tenants can apply for it.

The amount of the subsidy is defined according to the level of water recorded in the affected area:
- High impact: $3,000,000
- Medium impact: $2,000,000
How to apply for the benefit?
To access the SUR supplement, it is necessary to complete the process as follows:
- Go to www.argentina.gob.ar/seguridad/bahiablanca.
- Complete the form on the website or call 0-800-555-2040 (Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.).
- Submit the required documentation.
Registration will be open until April 15.

What documentation is needed?
Those affected must present:
- Photo of the electricity bill of the affected address.
- Account number of the electricity service (EDES).
- Personal data (name, surname, ID, phone, and email).
- Bank details to receive the payment.
After the application is approved, the payment will be made within 30 days.

The emergency decree
The subsidy was formalized through Decree 238/2025, which allocated $200 billion to help those affected.
Additionally, the Government established that the Ministry of Security will coordinate the delivery of the funds, ensuring a direct distribution without intermediaries.

Who can access the benefit?
To receive the subsidy, it is necessary to meet these requirements:
- Be an Argentine citizen (native, by choice, or naturalized) residing in the country.
- In the case of foreigners, demonstrate legal residence in Argentina for at least two years.
