Bloober Team officially confirmed Layers of Fear 3, the third installment in its first-person psychological horror saga. The announcement was made during a special event for the tenth anniversary of the franchise's original release. For now, there is no confirmed release date or platforms. No images of the game were released either. Even so, the news caused strong expectations among fans of the genre.
The saga has become established as a benchmark of narrative horror. With this new installment, the Polish studio seeks to deepen its creative identity and maintain its place in the international market.
A saga marked by artistic obsession
Since its debut in 2016, Layers of Fear has explored the thin line between inspiration and obsession. The first title proposed a journey through the fragmented mind of an artist. The horror did not rely only on jump scares. It focused on the protagonist's psychological and emotional deterioration.
Mateusz Lenart, creative director, recalled that the initial goal was to generate empathy. The player had to understand the character, not judge him. That decision defined the franchise's DNA.
Meanwhile, Piotr Babieno, the studio's CEO, maintained that Layers of Fear defined the company's direction. The project represented a turning point. From that moment on, the team chose to develop introspective experiences centered on human fears.
