The dispute over David Romero's future has come to an end. While Boca Juniors was looking to finalize his signing to strengthen their attack, the Tigre forward decided to continue his career in Europe. The chosen destination will be Parma, which will compete for one more season in the Italian Serie A.

The 23-year-old attacker was one of the players targeted by the management led by Juan Román Riquelme, who even made a formal proposal to try to sign him. However, the possibility of making the leap to European football ultimately tipped the scales.

Negotiations between Tigre and the Italian club progressed quickly until reaching a verbal agreement for the transfer of the forward.

The operation was closed at 8 million euros, an amount that will allow Matador to complete one of the most important sales in recent transfer markets. Additionally, the Victoria club will retain a sell-on fee on a future transfer of the player, which will allow them to gain additional economic benefits if Romero is sold again.

Although there is still paperwork to complete, both institutions believe that the agreement is practically finalized and the official announcement will be made once the contracts are signed.

Before traveling to Italy, David Romero will have his farewell from the club that fostered his football growth.

It is expected that the forward will receive a recognition this Wednesday in Victoria alongside Tigre fans, while on Thursday he will embark on his journey to Europe to complete the medical examination and officially become the new player of Parma.
