The decision by Miguel Ángel Russo and the management of Boca to remove Marcos Rojo, Cristian Lema, and Marcelo Saracchi from the squad continues to generate repercussions. Of the three, the Uruguayan was the only one to submit a formal proposal to terminate his contract, receiving payment only up to his last day of work, but it was rejected.

In this regard, according to journalist Augusto César, there have already been meetings between the representatives of Rojo and Lema with Juan Román Riquelme to negotiate an early departure. The club would be willing to release them in exchange for the remaining six months of their contracts, although for now there are no concrete offers and it remains to be seen whether the players will accept or wait until December.

The proposal is similar to the one submitted by Saracchi and that Boca rejected, due to the suspicion that the full-back might have an offer from abroad that he did not disclose to avoid a direct negotiation between clubs.

Estudiantes rules out Rojo's return and Saracchi's departure could benefit Boca

Although the defender made a gesture toward Pincha on the club's 120th anniversary, the management of Estudiantes de La Plata denied any kind of conversation: "There is nothing," they assured the 0221 fan media outlet.

Meanwhile, at Boca, they see Saracchi's departure as the most beneficial, especially if it is finalized abroad, since it would allow the transfer window to be extended until August 31 and free up a foreign player slot.
