The Argentine automotive market is consolidating its recovery: 55,827 vehicles were registered in September

The sale of new cars in Argentina recorded a 27.8% year-on-year increase in September 2025, with 55,827 registered units, which is equivalent to 12,148 more vehicles than in the same month of 2024.
According to data from the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (ACARA), there was also a monthly increase of 1.7% compared to August, when 54,664 units were registered.
A historic cumulative total so far this year
In the first nine months of the year, 500,089 vehicles were registered, marking a 60.4% year-on-year jump compared to the 311,757 units sold in the same period of 2024. With these results, the market surpasses half a million cars in 2025, consolidating a performance well above initial expectations.

ACARA president Sebastián Beato highlighted that September was a month "of great intensity" due to the influence of political and economic factors, as well as renewed international support. He also emphasized that the sector is sustained by a "floor of 50,000 monthly units, something that at the beginning of the year seemed difficult to achieve."
Toyota's leadership and best-selling models
Among the brands, Toyota led the market with 8,955 units, followed by Volkswagen (7,946), Fiat (6,177), Renault (5,296), and Ford (5,288).

Regarding the best-selling models in September, the Toyota Yaris topped the ranking with 3,037 units, followed by the Toyota Hilux (2,499) and the Ford Ranger (2,211), reflecting the strong presence of the Japanese automaker in the Argentine market.
Outlook for the sector
Beato pointed out that the sustained growth of the market is supported by a greater perception of macroeconomic stability, which generates confidence among consumers and the dealer network. If this trend continues, sales could close 2025 with a recent record for the sector.
