The blockbuster arrives in theaters this Thursday, and the actor recalled his stay in Mendoza and the Andes

Brad Pitt returned to the spotlight, this time as the lead in F1: the movie, an ambitious Hollywood release that promises to take the adrenaline of motorsport to the limit. Ahead of the global premiere, the actor was interviewed by May Martorelli for Telenoche (El Trece), where he spoke not only about the film, but also about his emotional connection with Argentina.

The movie, which premieres this Thursday, is set in the world of Formula 1 and features Damson Idris and Kerry Condon. Pitt plays a veteran driver who returns to the track, in a story filled with drama, speed and passion for racing.

The meeting with Colapinto and a premiere full of stars

During the interview, Brad Pitt referred to Franco Colapinto, the young Argentine driver who greeted him during the premiere in Times Square. "He has a great future ahead of him. It's great to see him in F1 again," the actor said, after sharing a warm handshake with him.

Colapinto attended the event accompanied by his Alpine teammate, Pierre Gasly. Both were fascinated by the scale of the launch. "I've never seen so many televisions together in my life," he commented with a laugh as he looked at the illuminated city.

The blockbuster had already been presented during the Monaco GP, where Colapinto had early access. "It's great that motorsport looks so realistic in a Hollywood movie. What Brad and these great actors put together was good," he said.

The Argentine flavors and landscapes Pitt doesn't forget

Beyond the premiere, Pitt devoted several minutes of the interview to recalling his stay in Argentina, in 1996, during the filming of Seven Years in Tibet. He lived in the country for four months and still keeps unforgettable images.

"It's a very beautiful country. The food was unbelievable. We ate like kings. The wine was unbelievable too," he recalled enthusiastically. The actor recounted that he was in a small town at the foot of the Andes, where he was amazed by the changing landscapes depending on the daylight.

He also mentioned his time in Mendoza and was moved when he saw a picture of "Blanco," the dog he adopted while filming. "He was in the Andes. It was very beautiful. He looks a bit like a greyhound," he said, his voice filled with nostalgia.

Brad Pitt, at 60 years old, has shown that he can still move audiences both on screen and in real life. Among roaring engines and Argentine memories, F1 promises to be one of the year's major releases.
