The candidate from kirchnerismo for Santa Fe, Caren Tepp, surprised the country with a statement that quickly went viral. "We don't want what Milei wants, which is for Argentina to become a world power. We want to be more humble, to be happy," Tepp stated, generating a wave of ridicule on social media.
Libertarian influencer Daniel "El Gordo Dan" Parisini wasted no time in mocking her on X: "CAREN TEPP, THE KUKAS' CANDIDATE (SHE ACTUALLY SAID THAT, I KNOW YOU CAN'T BELIEVE IT, WATCH THE VIDEO) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA," he wrote, highlighting the magnitude of the phrase's virality.
In contrast, President Milei reaffirmed the country's international prominence with his recent meeting at the White House alongside President Donald Trump. The U.S. president declared his full support for Milei: "He is doing the right thing for his country. I hope the Argentine people understand his excellent work and support him during the upcoming midterm elections so we can continue helping him reach Argentina's unbelievable potential. Javier Milei has my full support. Let's make Argentina great again!"
The meeting, held with a handshake and smiles in front of the media, included the participation of Karina Milei, Luis Caputo, Patricia Bullrich, Gerardo Werthein, Santiago Bausilli, and Alec Oxenford. During the meeting, strategic topics were discussed such as a 20 billion dollar swap between central banks, contingent credits from the Exchange Stabilization Fund, and the opening of a free trade agreement. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent described the meeting as "a great opportunity for Argentines."
