This was Carmen Barbieri's return to TV: murga, emotion, and a jab at El Trece

'Con Carmen' debuted on El Nueve with joy, intimate interviews, and a direct message to her former channel

Carmen Barbieri returned to television on Monday, May 26 with the premiere ofCon Carmen, her new show on  El Nueve. The debut, filled with emotion and color, began at 3:30 p.m. with a live murga to celebrate that Huracán would play the final of the Torneo Apertura.

With overflowing enthusiasm, the host greeted her beloved club and her audience. "I've been suffering for 30 years with my beloved Globo," she said on air. Then, she entered the studio to the rhythm of  "La vida es un carnaval" by Celia Cruz, setting the festive and optimistic tone of the show.

The set design combined multiple screens and a format designed for dialogue. A desk brought together four of the five panelists: Paloma Bokser, Maxi Legnani, Guille Barrios, and Juani Velcoff. Next to them, Carmen settled at a main table from where she delivered a daily monologue, which in this first broadcast she titled "Humor Above All."

An unfiltered message and moments of high emotional impact

In that first monologue, the former vedette made a direct comment to El Trece, the channel that decided not to renew Mañanísima. "They kicked me out of a channel, they didn't even ask for my permission... and they kept El Zorro, which repeats episodes and still gets ratings," she said, mixing irony and criticism.

Later on, Carmen experienced an emotional reunion with  Julieta Bal, daughter of Santiago Bal and Silvia Pérez. The conversation revolved around family constellations, a topic that, as she announced, will be part of the show weekly with Julieta as a frequent guest.

She also interviewed  Claudia Valenzuela, L-Gante's mother,  in an intimate conversation about the challenge of being the mother of a popular figure. Under the theme "What it's like to be the mother of a star," the conversation offered a different perspective on the world of entertainment.

For the closing,  Federico Bal joined in,  who was present to support his mother in this new beginning. With words of encouragement, he wished her success and celebrated her return to the screen.

A return that left a mark on the audience

According to @MoskitaMuertaOk, the debut of Con Carmen scored 2.6 rating points, placing third in its time slot. A solid start for a show that aims to blend humor, current events, and entertainment with Carmen Barbieri's unmistakable style.

Thus, the host returned renewed, betting on a fresh and personal format, where entertainment intersects with emotion and irony. The show promises to keep growing with outstanding interviews, content related to current social issues, and a sharp perspective but always from a place of humor.
