Amid the scandal, Carmen revealed that her son warned her in advance about what was going to happen. "He sent me the interview before it aired," she explained. She also clarified that she only watched fragments.

According to her account, Fede Bal wanted her to know in advance what was coming. "He knows me and knows that some things can shock me," Carmen said, who described herself as a fan of dark humor.

"I didn't watch it in full and Fede got angry with me," she said. "He told me 'Mom, how could you not watch it? You don't have time to go to the psychologist and you don't have time to watch a 12-minute interview of mine?'"
