Córdoba Police reported the dismantling of a network accused of cattle theft and illegal sale in the northern part of the province. The operations were carried out over the weekend in different rural areas with significant results. Eight people were arrested, and authorities confirmed that there is still one suspect at large.
The investigation revealed that the criminal structure was made up of members of the same family, also including neighbors from the area. According to police spokespersons, the detainees allegedly participated in all stages of the illegal circuit. From the theft of cattle to sales on the black market, the organization operated under a closed and coordinated dynamic.
The raids were carried out in Villa Albertina, Cañada de Río Pinto, and Copacabana, within the Ischilín department. To carry them out, personnel from different divisions were mobilized, including the Rural Patrol and members of the Eter tactical group. The operation also resulted in the seizure of cell phones, which will be examined to broaden the scope of the investigation.

A family gang that managed the entire illegal circuit
According to official information, among those arrested are four men and two women who played key roles in the scheme. The list also includes daughters, sons-in-law, and neighbors, as well as the father identified as the central figure in the organization. The structure showed how the family bond was used as a mechanism to sustain the illicit business.
The method under investigation was described as "from the field to the black market," covering everything from the appropriation of animals to the commercialization of meat. Each member of the group was responsible for a specific step, allowing the activity to be repeated on several occasions. The investigators' work made it possible to precisely identify how this network operated.
The judicial case is in the hands of the Deán Funes Prosecutor's Office, under the direction of prosecutor Analía Cepede. The investigation remains open, and the search for the ninth individual involved is still active throughout the region. According to reports, the suspect has already been identified, and his capture is considered a priority by the authorities.
