Cecilia Bolocco, celebrated her 60th birthday in a very special and emotional way, with a display of her most iconic dresses and a decision that moved the public and the media.
The Chilean announced that she will auction off a large part of her private haute couture collection, including the iconic white dress with which she won the Miss Universe crown in 1987.
The event took place at the Museum of Fashion in Chile, in an intimate and emotional atmosphere. Cecilia was accompanied by her husband, businessman José “Pepo” Daire, and her sonMáximo Menem, from her marriage to the late former Argentine president Carlos Menem.

The auction has a deeply meaningful charitable purpose for the former Miss Universe and former Argentine first lady, all proceeds will be donated to the Fundación Care, an organization she created to support the fight against cancer. The motivation behind this gesture is marked by a very strong personal experience: in 2018, her son Máximo was diagnosed with a brain tumor, an experience that completely transformed both of their lives.
“This is a way to give something back, to transform important moments of my life into something that can help others,” Bolocco expressed during the display, visibly moved. The decision to part with such symbolic garments was not easy, but it represents her desire to bring hope to those going through the difficult fight against cancer.

Meanwhile, Máximo, now a young man recovered and committed to the cause, expressed his deep admiration for his mother: “Everything my mother did was admirable. Without her, I wouldn't be here today,” he said, bringing tears to those present.
The news of the auction has caused repercussions across the continent, both for the symbolic value of the dresses and for the message of solidarity that drives the initiative. Bolocco, always remembered for her elegance and her diplomatic role in regional politics, now shows that she also leaves a mark through empathy and social commitment.
At 60 years old, Cecilia Bolocco not only celebrates a life of personal and professional successes but also reaffirms her commitment to a cause that changed her life forever and marked a new direction for her.
