Meanwhile, Kirchnerism and the far left hold a demonstration outside, the Chamber of Deputies approved the Government of Javier Milei's agreement with the International Monetary Fund.

The approval of the DNU, which was achieved with the support of PRO and UCR, was obtained with 129 votes in favor, 108 against, and 6 abstentions.

The debate in Congress takes place in parallel to a mobilization called for this afternoon, in which activists from leftist parties, Kirchnerist unions, and social organizations participate.

This new agreement with the IMF will allow the cancellation of existing debt with the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) through a public credit operation, resulting in a reduction of the total national public debt.

Milei's Government highlights that this measure represents an essential step in the sanitation of public accounts and in the stability of the financial system, which will allow progress in the elimination of the currency exchange control.

The session in Deputies was held under a strong security operation in the vicinity of Congress, in anticipation of a new violent mobilization by the left.

Last week, a similar march ended with serious disturbances, numerous injuries, and hundreds of arrests. For this afternoon, Milei's Government anticipated an even larger turnout, as various political groups, social organizations, and unions had announced their participation in the protest, which has destabilizing purposes.

Despite having indebted the country in all its governments, Kirchnerism expressed a vigorous protest against the new agreement with the IMF, and accused the ruling party of supposedly "limiting the right to express oneself" within the chamber.
