This information was confirmed by the Archbishop of Mercedes-Luján, Jorge Eduardo Scheining, after holding an in-person audience at the Vatican with the Supreme Pontiff. The official tour includes a stay of 4 days in Argentina, extending from November 8 to 11 to fulfill the scheduled agenda.
The tentative itinerary set by the religious authorities includes initial activities on November 9 in Buenos Aires, November 10 in Córdoba, and November 11 in Luján. Bishop Jorge Eduardo Scheining detailed the planned logistics stating: “The main plan is that he will be in Buenos Aires on Monday, Córdoba on Tuesday, and Luján on Wednesday, always based at the Nunciature.” This provincial stop represents one of the three central points within the first visit to the national territory since the beginning of his pontificate.
A team sent by the Holy See is working in the country to coordinate operational aspects, security circuits, and logistics. The diplomatic residence of the Apostolic Nunciature in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires will serve as the main accommodation base for the pontiff. From this diplomatic headquarters, transfers to the planned destinations will be organized, as part of an international tour that includes trips to Uruguay and Peru.
