Despite Alpine's current situation, Franco Colapinto is experiencing the days leading up to the Brazilian Grand Prix with renewed enthusiasm and the expectation of racing again in front of the South American crowd. The Argentine driver expressed his joy at returning to the Interlagos circuit, where last year he had his first Formula 1 experience with Williams.
"It's always great to return to South America. After experiencing this event for the first time last year, I'm really looking forward to getting back on track in front of all the fans, especially with so many Argentinians supporting me," Colapinto said in statements released by the French team.

The native of Pilar recalled his debut in Brazil with emotion, highlighting the mystique of the São Paulo track: "I had mixed feelings during last year's race, but the Interlagos circuit is special to drive because it has a lot of history and a unique aura."
Colapinto also analyzed the particularities of the Brazilian Grand Prix, known for its unpredictability and the weather factor: "Last year we saw that in this race anything can happen, so we'll try to be prepared and take advantage of any opportunity that comes our way, especially since it's a Sprint weekend, with even more potential for action."
While awaiting confirmation as Alpine's main driver for 2026, Colapinto acknowledged that the current season has been challenging, although he remains determined: "It hasn't been the easiest season for us, but we keep our heads held high and we're focused on doing the best job possible next weekend."
