Franco Colapinto will take to the track this Friday in Singapore, one of the toughest circuits on the calendar. With nearly 5,000 meters (3.11 miles) of track, 19 corners, and a climate marked by extreme humidity, the setting pushes both drivers and cars to the limit.
In this context, and in official statements from Alpine, the Argentine driver gave his analysis: "Singapore is undoubtedly one of the toughest races of the entire season. I felt the unique physical challenge for the first time last year, so this year I've dedicated time to specific training for the heat in order to prepare myself for the extreme conditions".

Despite the difficulties, he acknowledged that it is a good track: "The circuit itself is very fun to drive. It's fast, with many technical combinations of corners and, in general, the races are quite good".
"I'm really looking forward to racing there. Competing under the lights is always an unbelievable experience and the city is a beautiful place that, as a sport, we're lucky to be able to visit", he added.
The memory of 2023 still motivates him: he qualified 12th, just seven thousandths behind Alex Albon, and managed to run in the points zone after an aggressive start in which he gained three positions, but finished 11th. "I had an interesting start in last year's race reaching turn 1, very, very late on the brakes!", he recalled with laughter.
