Córdoba: the Posta de Imipira celebrated Escarapela Day with patriotic pride
La Posta de Impira opened May Week with cockades, tradition, and patriotism alongside Oscar Scorza
On May 18, the historic Posta de Impira opened May Week with an emotional event for Escarapela Day. The site is located 65 km (40 miles) from the city of Córdoba and is close to Laguna Larga and Oncativo.
Thanks to the work of committed neighbors and the generous contribution of Oscar Scorza, the historic site came back to life for the second consecutive year.
This historic place was once witness to the passage of national heroes such as Alvear, Quiroga, and Belgrano. It later became a meeting point where history comes alive and patriotism is renewed.

The proximity of Posta de Impira to sites such as Oncativo—a symbol of key battles in our history—made the commemoration even more symbolic.
There, gaucho groups from Oncativo, Costa Sacate, and Córdoba participated in an event with dances and an emotional flag-raising. The folk dances, performed by the Tierra Adentro group, were celebrated by the entire audience.
The flagpole, carved from noble wood, raised a new flag, reaffirming the value of our national identity. More than a cultural event, it was a declaration: there is an Argentina that honors its history and resists oblivion and symbolic depletion.

Living tradition and national pride
Oscar Scorza, the project's driving force, highlighted the importance of passing on the national legacy: "Posta de Impira is a beacon that illuminates the past to build a future with memory," he stated.
He is not mistaken: in times when national values are being relativized, events like this become essential. History is not erased; it is honored.

On this May 18, this historic site in the interior of Córdoba set an example of how to keep the flame of Argentine identity and national values and symbols alive.
National values
With emotion and commitment, the community gathered to celebrate not just a date, but a shared identity. The rosettes on their chests, the sky blue and white colors waving, and the respect for history were the protagonists of a day full of meaning.
After years of symbols relegated by the politics of the day, this gathering was an act of resistance and national pride. It is in these simple yet deep gestures that the sense of belonging is cultivated, especially among new generations, who need concrete examples to understand the value of our roots.
