The 2025 season marked a turning point for South American soccer. After the triumphs of Lanús in the Sudamericana and Flamengo in the Libertadores, CONMEBOL published a report titled "10 Years of Growth" in which it highlights the remarkable economic growth its competitions have experienced over the past decade and the records set this year.
First, the 2025 Copa Sudamericana distributed a total of USD 78,775,000, the highest figure in the tournament's history and 426% more than what was awarded in 2015. The champion, Lanús, was also the club that collected the most money from the group stage to the title, with USD 9,845,000.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Copa Libertadores also broke its record with USD 209,090,000 distributed among all participants and more than 4.39 million spectators, an all-time attendance record. In this context, Flamengo became the team with the highest revenue of the year, with USD 33,240,000 throughout the tournament. Racing, a semifinalist, was close to Lanús in the total accumulated amount with USD 9,570,000.

In turn, the organization emphasized that this growth is part of a policy of reinvestment, excellence, and transparency maintained over the past decade. "Revenues surpass themselves year after year, resources improve, the quality of competitiveness increases, the community grows," highlighted president Alejandro Domínguez, who celebrated that the "circle of continuous growth" allows for a favorable outlook for the continent's soccer.
