Aerolíneas Argentinas officially confirmed that it will operate the direct route between the city of Córdoba and Miami starting on June 5, 2026. The international connection will have 2 weekly frequencies departing from Ambrosio Taravella Airport on Thursdays and Sundays. The company decided to keep this service active on a regular basis once the World Cup in the north of the continent is over.
The launch of this flight is part of the commercial strategy to strengthen the Córdoba Hub as a distribution node for the country's interior. The open skies policy boosts competition and allows the local terminal to develop its full potential without depending on Buenos Aires. The Córdoba airport seeks to establish itself as the most efficient international gateway for passengers from the central and northern regions.
The local air terminal already operates regional services to tourist destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, Florianópolis, Punta del Este, and Punta Cana. The network of domestic inter-segment routes makes it possible to connect different Argentine cities without having to go through the Buenos Aires hub. The air transport market is responding positively to decentralization by offering routes that save time and costs for users in the interior.
La apertura de este vuelo se inscribe en la estrategia comercial de fortalecer el Hub Córdoba como nodo de distribución del interior del país.
World Cup operation and commercial demand
The company designed a special operation to support the Argentina National Team during the group stage of the tournament in the United States. The plan includes direct flights from the Ezeiza terminal to the specific venues where the official tournament matches will be played. Two services to Kansas were scheduled for the match against Algeria on June 16 and another 4 flights to Dallas for the games against Austria and Jordan.
The regular route between Ezeiza Airport and the city of Miami will reach a total of 18 weekly frequencies to meet the high demand. The schedule includes up to 3 daily flights at daytime and nighttime hours, reinforcing capacity to one of the most sought-after destinations. Tickets for these special services are being sold through the company's official website and via local travel agencies.

The consolidation of the Córdoba Hub shows that the deregulation of the air sector creates the right incentives for the expansion of real supply. Ambrosio Taravella Airport has the necessary infrastructure to receive large aircraft and manage international traffic. Air transport competition and route liberalization are allowing the provinces to regain prominence on the global connectivity map.
