JetSMART expands routes and flight frequencies in Córdoba with 156% growth
The low-cost airline announced more direct flights and national and international connections from Córdoba airport
In a context of growth in the aviation sector, JetSMART has confirmed a historic expansion in Córdoba. The low-cost airline reported a 156% increase in flights during September 2025 compared to the same month last year. It also recorded 16% more operations compared to August of this year.
The company considers Córdoba a strategic hub for its South American network. In just 18 months, it has managed to position itself as the second most chosen airline by passengers. Its ultra low-cost model and low fare policy are key factors in this result.
Strengthening the Córdoba-Buenos Aires route is one of the pillars of this strategy. The connection will have 33 weekly frequencies by the end of the year. This facilitates mobility between two central economic hubs for business and tourism.

New international connections
Starting October 2, JetSMART will launch direct flights between Córdoba and Rio de Janeiro. There will be four weekly frequencies, increasing to five starting January 2026. Tickets are already on sale from $21,000 per segment, taxes included.
The expansion will also allow residents of Córdoba to access international destinations through connections in Buenos Aires. Among them are Asunción, Florianópolis, Lima, and Santiago de Chile. The company emphasized that this favors inbound tourism and the arrival of visitors to Córdoba.
On the national level, connecting flights have been operating for two years and guarantee links to key destinations. Among them are San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén, Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Comodoro Rivadavia, and Trelew. All under a scheme of low prices and coordinated schedules.

Economic impact and industrial commitment
JetSMART operates from Córdoba International Airport with Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. This scheme allows for greater capacity without overloading airport infrastructure. The pay-per-service system ensures competitive prices tailored to demand.
The company is also strengthening its relationship with the Argentine Aircraft Factory (FADEA). This agreement strengthens the local industry and contributes to the province's economic development. Córdoba is thus consolidating itself as an air and industrial hub of regional significance.
Since 2019, JetSMART has transported more than 12 million passengers in Argentina and 42 million in South America. In 2025, it received the Skytrax award for Best Low-Cost Airline in South America for the third time. The company reaffirms its commitment to more flights, better connections, and affordable prices.
